"I work at a factory in Beijing."

As far as I am aware, the following translations are correct. Correct me if I am wrong.

我在工廠做工作。I work at a factory.

我在北京做工作。I work in Beijing.

How would I say "I work at a factory in Beijing."? My guesses (below) sound wordy, repetitive and/or awkward.

我在一個在北京的工廠做工作。

我在北京在工廠做工作。

。。。

What is the natural translation of this sentence? Are the ones I've written as awkward sounding as I think they are?

I'd prefer 我在北京(的)一个工厂... Quantifiers such as one can and generally do go between the different phrases of location within a noun phrase (i.e. Beijing + factory) if they are not a fixed collocation. It also has a tendency to separate out the locations a bit more this way. (Compare 我在一所北京[的]大学... vs 我在北京[的]一所大学...)

^ You are correct indeed and I was going to list that as well. However, it just gives me a feeling that speaker wants to say something more specific to his work in a factory of Beijing rather than merely stating it, if that makes any sense. It sounds more like he is going to say '(When) I worked at a factory in Beijing .....' and then add more information.

For instance: 我在北京的一个工厂工作的时候做了。。。。

or: 我在北京的一个工厂工作了一年半,不过。。。。。

It's probably just me though,. :)
