刚 and 刚才 translation error?

Translation #2) "Just a while ago, I didn't think up what to eat, now I just thought it up. "

• 我 刚才 没 想好 吃 什么，现在 我 想好 了。
  
• 我 刚 没 想好 吃 什么，现在 我 想好 了。
  

My thoughts (with the help of ICIBA):

刚才

1. （名）指刚过去不久的时间。他把～的事儿忘了。（作定语）

2. （副）表示动作或者情况发生在说话以前不久。天～还是晴的。（作状语）

刚

3. （表示行动或情况发生在不久以前）

Referring to Translation #2: I probably would have used 刚才 in that situation. It seems to fit the definition of "not long before speaking". Why is it wrong?

I would have used 刚才, too. Actually, it doesn't make sense to me with 刚. It seems like a good example of when to use 刚才 and not 刚. Is it possible that these two sentences were switched?

did you write the team an e-mail (see Contact Us) with your findings? They added a lot of stuff and it is unavoidable that there are some mistakes in the early versions.

I could send an email. Sorry to the team if I sounded a bit harsh, like you said there's a lot of really good material and it's only natural for errors to creep in. I've been studying with this website for the past couple hours now and have already recommended it to a friend, actually.

Guys, thanks for speaking up! I'm a little embarrassed about that page. We strive for better quality than that. We added a whole bunch of new content to the wiki in the past two months, and now we're going through a bunch of it in more detail. This page demanded immediate attention, though (it's an important one), so I just updated it myself (and got some extra input from our native speaker staff, as always).

You're correct that the sentence 我 刚才 没 想好 吃 什么，现在 我 想好 了。 is NOT WRONG. That's been fixed.

I also went and added a section on "刚 and 刚才 with 没" as well as "刚 and 刚才 with 了", because clearly, those are some tricky points. Just added more overall sample sentences, too, with the goal of being helpful and illustrative, not just complicated.
