visa question for US students in China

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

In order to get a visa to study in China it is required that I do a medical check here in the USA. I hear that I will have to do a second medical check when I arrive in China when applying for the residence permit. Are there any students who can verify whether this is true or not?

I was never asked about my medical information when I applying for a student Visa in the US. I still did a check-up anyways. But I was asked about it when applying for a residence permit that lasted for more then a year after I arrived in China. The one I did in the US wasn't accepted because it had photocopies of my results. What they wanted was the original documents--the actual X-ray scans, the paper that comes out of the CT scan, the sort. So I just got a second check-up, which only took one morning and wasn't a hassle.

It's best to wait and do it in China.

It depends where you are going in China, but few local governments haven't set up Immigration and Quarantine units where they insist on you taking worthless medical checks. Someone has to pay for the banquets.

But I'm in lust with the local radiologer or whatever who rubs me with lubricant and slowly scans my bits to make sure I'm not pregnant. I'm male, but mind your own business.

The infamous Dr. Grope is a whole other story which shall be told one day!
