Sam Fairhall 92 Posted August 18, 2013 at 10:08 AM Report Share Posted August 18, 2013 at 10:08 AM Hi, I've been using Pleco Flashcards for a while now and find it a very useful tool for single-word flashcards. I haven't been able to make long sentence Flashcards and was wondering whether theres anyway to do this? For example, i've just finished a Chinesepod lesson and would like to add in a sentence like "nǐ shénme shíhou qù Xiānggǎng?". This is easy on a computer as I can simply copy and paste. On my phone, however, I don't have the tones of chinese and 'ni3 she2nme...' just doesn't look as good. Is there a way of using multiple dictionary entries for one flashcard? Thanks. Demonic_Duck Posted August 18, 2013 at 02:10 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2013 at 02:10 PM I'm also curious as to the answer on merging multiple entries into one flashcard (although as far as I know it's 没办法). As for inputting tones in the "pinyin" field, you can simply write the tone numbers and it should display with the tone marks on the flashcard itself, as long as your settings are set to display it that way (i.e. if you're seeing tone marks on all your other flashcards, you should see them on custom cards made this way too). mikelove Posted August 18, 2013 at 05:12 PM Report Share Posted August 18, 2013 at 05:12 PM Not possible at the moment - we've been focusing on the rest of our app for our big iOS 7 update. But after we get that out the door our main focus turns to flashcards, and sentences are certainly a big part of that - some very interesting stuff possible with clozes, for example. Sam Fairhall 92 Posted August 19, 2013 at 09:38 AM Author Report Share Posted August 19, 2013 at 09:38 AM @Mikelove I'm glad you're looking into it . An update like that would eliminate the need to use Anki alongside Pleco, allowing users to place all of their flashcards onto a single application.
