website Posted March 15, 2005 at 08:57 AM Report Posted March 15, 2005 at 08:57 AM The police are having a crackdown on prostitution in Shenzhen today. The sidewalk vendors were seen running away when the police pulled up, but the sellers came back when the police put several young women from a brothel in their van. One woman was crying, but another one was smiling like she was going on a field trip. All the other brothels were closed up tight. One can argue that prostitution should be legal, but since it's not, the police should be applauded for cracking down. Prostitution is really get out of hand in China. Quote
wushijiao Posted March 15, 2005 at 11:05 AM Report Posted March 15, 2005 at 11:05 AM It might have more to do with it being International Consumer Rights and Interests Day, which is a token day per year in which the cops enforce copyrights and other, ehm, illegal businesses. Quote
