Meng Lelan Posted September 18, 2013 at 11:24 PM Report Posted September 18, 2013 at 11:24 PM My son and I had kind of a crazy conversation today...he did not like the stories in Chinese I assigned him because they were too "rosy and happy". I told him Lu Xun wrote some depressing stories, how would he like to read that? To my surprise he expressed interest. So I was wondering any of you out there started Lu Xun in elementary school, what were the first stories you read? 1 Quote

skylee Posted September 19, 2013 at 03:11 AM Report Posted September 19, 2013 at 03:11 AM Lu Xun's works were written a long time ago. The words/ styles he used might not be the easiest for learners/ children to understand or ideal for them to learn. You might want to remind your son about this. Quote
