roddy Posted October 11, 2013 at 02:48 PM Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 at 02:48 PM Ah, they've changed things a little, will need to take a look. Quote
roddy Posted October 13, 2013 at 10:29 AM Author Report Posted October 13, 2013 at 10:29 AM Ok, Google search should be ad-free now. At least until we run out of search credits, which should be in...actually only six months. I may need to rethink this ad free thing... PS 'Course, was your original appearance anything to write home about? Quote
roddy Posted October 13, 2013 at 11:28 AM Author Report Posted October 13, 2013 at 11:28 AM Fixed an issue preventing users with certain characters (&, ") in their username from logging in. Quote
abcdefg Posted October 14, 2013 at 01:08 AM Report Posted October 14, 2013 at 01:08 AM BTW, even after the CTRL + F5 trick, I still cannot use the quote function. When I make a post, such as this one, all formatting options are grayed out and are not selectable. Firefox and Win 7 (both fully updated.) Quote
imron Posted October 14, 2013 at 02:07 AM Report Posted October 14, 2013 at 02:07 AM They should all be greyed out except for one on the top far left - which is the button for enabling formatting Quote
abcdefg Posted October 14, 2013 at 05:03 AM Report Posted October 14, 2013 at 05:03 AM Will try that button. "BBCCode Mode." It's actually as gray as the rest of the buttons, but I hit it anyway, and sure enough, it works. They should all be greyed out except for one on the top far left - which is the button for enabling formatting Thanks! Quote
imron Posted October 14, 2013 at 05:19 AM Report Posted October 14, 2013 at 05:19 AM Yep BBCode is Bulletin Board Code - a set of formatting markup commonly used in forums/bulletin boards. It was perhaps an unfortunate UI choice to make that button grey. Quote
roddy Posted October 14, 2013 at 11:48 AM Author Report Posted October 14, 2013 at 11:48 AM Problems on the mobile site Imron reported have been resolved. Although I'm not quite sure how, so if you're having any issues, do let me know. Quote
imron Posted October 24, 2013 at 04:14 AM Report Posted October 24, 2013 at 04:14 AM More problems on the mobile site - reputation buttons are missing. Quote
roddy Posted October 24, 2013 at 10:36 AM Author Report Posted October 24, 2013 at 10:36 AM Actually I knew about that and was waiting to see if anyone noticed. Did anyone else notice? I also just fixed a bug with dates in the popular posts block on the front page, they weren't being adjusted for time zones. And I spotted that one all by myself... Quote

imron Posted October 24, 2013 at 11:23 AM Report Posted October 24, 2013 at 11:23 AM If you'd fixed it, I would've given you an upvote :-p 1 Quote
roddy Posted October 24, 2013 at 12:18 PM Author Report Posted October 24, 2013 at 12:18 PM I'm sure it was fixed a minute ago... Edit: Ah, it's getting cached with the settings of whoever happens to load the page when it's due to be recached. I'm going to pretend I didn't see that Quote
roddy Posted October 24, 2013 at 01:47 PM Author Report Posted October 24, 2013 at 01:47 PM Ok, you should have post reputation and an upvote button on mobile now - tap on a post to bring them up. Incidentally I had to give you a point while testing, so, y'know, it'd only be fair if... Quote
gato Posted October 30, 2013 at 12:19 AM Report Posted October 30, 2013 at 12:19 AM On the mobile site, quoted text and new text have the same background color, so it's hard to tell them apart. On the full site, quoted text has a darker background. Quote
roddy Posted October 30, 2013 at 10:33 AM Author Report Posted October 30, 2013 at 10:33 AM Fixed. Quote
gato Posted December 3, 2013 at 03:55 PM Report Posted December 3, 2013 at 03:55 PM When trying to post using IE (not that often), I can't paste any text (using ctrl+v) into the reply or new post box. ctrl+x for cutting works, but ctrl+v doesn't work. Quote
roddy Posted December 3, 2013 at 04:05 PM Author Report Posted December 3, 2013 at 04:05 PM Looked into this - looks like IE11 has been pushed out, and it isn't compatible with the rich text editor. You should at any point be able to hit the light switch button at the top left of the editor for a very basic but bombproof editor* I have also applied a patch which might work - hit CTRL+F5 and try again. I also saw reference to going into Internet Security Settings and choosing to 'allow programatic clipboard access' *although I did submit a bug report for it only this morning... 1 Quote
