abcdefg Posted October 15, 2013 at 12:39 AM Report Posted October 15, 2013 at 12:39 AM Is this what you are after? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_in_China http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_in_China_by_population These were the top two returns on a Google search. Many more entries on that page. Quote
skylee Posted October 15, 2013 at 06:11 AM Report Posted October 15, 2013 at 06:11 AM Also see if this is useful -> Administrative divisions of China According to the wiki article, there are cities at different levels - municipalities, prefertural-level cities, sub-provincial level cities, county-level cities. roddy Posted October 16, 2013 at 07:33 PM Report Posted October 16, 2013 at 07:33 PM I can't understand what you're asking for. Try explaining what you need to do, and why. 1 Quote
Silent Posted October 16, 2013 at 08:54 PM Report Posted October 16, 2013 at 08:54 PM what i dont understand is how to identify towns and cities and villages in china.. because the system looks unfamiliar to me. pls help me on this. What exactly is it you don't understand? I don't think there is much to understand as it's basicly just a political choice how the country is divided in political entities, unless of course you're an history buff and want to understand the motivations behind the choices made. I think the link Skylee provided gives a very good overview of the administrative divisions in China. The article also contains plenty of links to get more info on the different (sub)divisions. And if this all is not enough, it provides plenty of leads to do further google searches. I think all the questions you asked should be answered with this. If not, you really should be more specific in what you want/need. Quote
