Putuoshan from Shanghai

Hi there guys. I'm going to need to get from Putuoshan to Shanghai in a few weeks then onwards to Jiuhuashan. I heard the ferries leave at 6pm and take 12 hours. So are there place to sleep? Is there a better option? I'm looking for cheap.
