Got this tattoo 8 years ago, The wall that it was on had a meaning of "life change" right under it. 8 years later got curious and wanted to know if thats what it really ment.  Any Help thanks.

Well I think it is hua4 化. it does mean change, turn or transform.

 

It doesn't mean life change specifically, just change.

 

Consider yourself lucky, at least its close and not something horrible :)

To give you an idea of how it is used we can say bian hua 变化 which means simply change; jin hua 进化 which means evolve; jian hua 简化 which is to simplify.

As Shelley said, it doesn't mean life change, rather than just change but it wouldn't be too big of a stretch to tell people it represents the idea of life change for you personally.
