Pengyou Posted October 31, 2013 at 08:58 AM Report Posted October 31, 2013 at 08:58 AM I have 8 lists of student names in Chinese and I need to create an account for each one. The software that I am using will not recognize Hanzi, so I will need to use pinyin. I can convert the Hanzi to pinyin but still the software does not accept the tonal markings. I need some way - besides retyping the whole list of 400 names - just get their Chinese names in the Romans alphabet without the tonal markings. Is this possible? Quote
Guest realmayo Posted October 31, 2013 at 10:41 AM Report Posted October 31, 2013 at 10:41 AM Try here: http://www.lexilogos.com/keyboard/pinyin_conversion.htm paste diacritic pinyin in the right, get tone numbers in the left: then any word processor should allow you to strip away the numbers (search & replace with nothing).
