lonny tao Posted November 2, 2013 at 10:43 AM Report Posted November 2, 2013 at 10:43 AM I have a little yixing teapot for decoration. There are some Chinese characters on it but what it means...somebody can tell me? And some small characters, maybe the name of the fabric? A better photo for the small characters was not possible. skylee Posted November 2, 2013 at 02:05 PM Report Posted November 2, 2013 at 02:05 PM The verse on the teapot is 野店臨西浦,門前有橘花 (a little inn next to the west side of river bank, there are orange flowers in front of its door) from a Tang Dynasty poem "宿江店" . Here is a calligraphy work about this peom and the caption reads "Lodging at a Hotel by River" -> http://www.ly-tw.net/photos/2012ex/x14.html I can't read the picture on the right, too blurry. 2 Quote
lonny tao Posted November 2, 2013 at 03:12 PM Author Report Posted November 2, 2013 at 03:12 PM Thanks for the translation. Its a part of a poem, thats nice. I asked the man in the shop that sell me this teapot, a Chinese man but he did not know. The last picture, I already said its not good but these characters are verry small so a good photo is not possible. Maybe I try again. Lonny Quote
