Wordoor Posted November 6, 2013 at 06:57 AM Report Posted November 6, 2013 at 06:57 AM Hello Everyone! I work for a company here in Shanghai, China, called Wordoor - The Online Language Learning Community. After some well placed comments received from you guys we thought it would be in your best interest to promote our product for FREE! We give one free lesson to our first 200 Chinese learners at www.wordoor.com ! The steps are easy. Please go to our website, click the promotion banner, sign up and book your first class. You should also join our growing community by completing your profile, inviting friends and sharing your thoughts We have made a website for people studying Chinese and English in different countries, where people can find a native teacher online. We're not a school, but a site where you can connect to teachers and other students. We provide lesson plans for free, that you can access in advance, even for more advanced levels. Let us know what you think about the promotion by responding to this forum, and even if others have already responded, the more opinions we get, the better, even if you have a similar opinion (we need to know what people are thinking!) Thank you so much!Tom Wordoor Quote

Touchstone57 Posted November 8, 2013 at 03:33 AM Report Posted November 8, 2013 at 03:33 AM I'd be interested to know what services it officers that other similar language learning websites do not. I've never actually used any (like this) before, but I have taken a look at what services they offer. There seems to be a general theme of connecting learners with teachers and buying credits to be used as currency, so I'd genuinely like to know I could potentially use this, as I have thought about private tutoring for a while now. Will take a look and let you know. Quote

abcdefg Posted December 19, 2013 at 01:25 PM Report Posted December 19, 2013 at 01:25 PM Feedback on your promotion: Don't most online learning sites offer a free try out? Feedback on your website: Pretty stingy not to allow a look at course offerings beyond tomorrow without signing up. Feedback on your posts: Sounds like the spiel of a hyper-enthusiastic door-to-door encyclopedia salesman. 2 Quote

ChTTay Posted February 19, 2014 at 12:21 PM Report Posted February 19, 2014 at 12:21 PM A few things... Why would I want a group class online over a one-on-one class online? I imagine having an online class would be technologically hazardous enough without 4 other people skyping in at the same time. Another company mentioned on these forums, based in China, will call you via telephone if you have problems connecting. Will you do that also? When I looked at your website, the Chinese class had "previous students" listed below it. One (of two) was another teacher from your site (photo on the main page) and the other also looked like a teacher working for you. Your website should list how many students, if any, are currently booked onto one of the classes. I would say the biggest thing for me is that ... Your forum posts on here have, so far, made me not want to join your site. It looks like you're just copying and pasteing marketing literature in the hope people will see it and join the site and even a few replies just seem to by copy/paste jobs! Quote
roddy Posted October 8, 2014 at 10:24 AM Report Posted October 8, 2014 at 10:24 AM Wow, it's been ages since we've a good old case of incompetent content theft. This look familiar? Oh my, it's our long-standing, frequently copied, and actually quite out of date list of resources. Except you've managed to add in a link to... hmmm... yourself. Slow clap for you... Lemme guess... intern? Quote
abcdefg Posted October 8, 2014 at 11:05 AM Report Posted October 8, 2014 at 11:05 AM At least this crooked moron stole content from a good source. Quote
Shelley Posted October 8, 2014 at 05:00 PM Report Posted October 8, 2014 at 05:00 PM Its weird when that happens, I looked at a company's website here in the south of England about 2 years ago and was amazed to find my entire hire price list copied on to their hire price list page. Strange thing was that after I had looked at it a few times it went away, did they know it was me ? I was going to say something but I didn't have to. Quote
