The only character you need to know about in this scene is the man, the legend, 猪头. He's the owner of what's obviously some kind of dodgy publishing company and is about to tell his loyal employees that it's gone bust and they won't be getting their wages. Think of this as a business Chinese lesson with character.

赶上        overtake, run into a situation
严打        crack down on (knowing 猪头 this publishing business was probably treading a fine line legally (打擦边球）, so this probably refers to a police crackdown)
倒闭        go bankrupt, into liquidation
散伙        (of a group or body) dissolve, disband - san4huo3
抽        hit, slap, beat
后会有期    we'll meet again someday
灿烂        magnificent - can4lan4
星空        starry sky
