skylee Posted November 15, 2013 at 02:32 AM Report Posted November 15, 2013 at 02:32 AM It is from 2 Timothy 4:7-8 - "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness" "那美好的仗我已經打過了,當跑的路我已經跑盡了,所信的道我已經守住了。從此以後,有公義的冠冕" PS - this is a beautiful quote. PPS - the first one says 春風得意馬疾蹄 (this does not sound right to my ear. I mean, shouldn't it be 馬蹄疾 instead?) hmm... it is a good wish for the spring/new year. I guess there is a horse in the painting? 1 Quote

Allen Zhang Posted November 27, 2013 at 04:30 AM Report Posted November 27, 2013 at 04:30 AM No.2, Skylee's description is wonderful,I add something to No.1. Translation: The spring breeze is brimming with joy,and the horse runs briskly. This sentence is from 孟郊's poem 《登科后》,the poet is highly happy because he wins top marks in the imperial examinations. 1 Quote
