How to un-downvote?

I accidentally downvoted a post here:

But i couldn't fix it because the voting buttons disappeared for that post.

Is there any way to take back an accidental vote?

There isn't actually any easy way to do it, but generally if you post in the topic and say 'oops' someone will notice and cancel it out for you. And perhaps someone else will add the vote you originally intended to give.
