How to express "Unlikely to improve significantly"?

I think unlikely should be "不大可能"

 

So I tried to make this whole sentence to say her illness is unlikely to have significant improvement in the future:

 

她將來的病情不大可能會有顯著的改善。

 

The opposite is:

 

她將來的病情很大可能會有顯著的改善。

Is this grammatically correct?

I think the second one should be:

她将来的病情很可能会有显著的改善。

 

As a side-note, I think as an alternative to 不大可能 , you could use 不至于 , as in:

她将来的病情不至于有显著的改善。

 

But wait for confirmation from others, as I am not certain.

I'd be more tempted to say something like 她的病情不太會有顯著的好轉, but I'm not a native speaker, so...

不大可能 is OK.  You can use 不至於 if you are talking about further deterioration instead of improvement.  I don't think 不太會有顯著的好轉 is ok.  Consider 不會有太顯著的好轉 instead.

 

PS - The original sentences sound clumsy.  I think 將來 can be dropped, as in #3.

I don't agree with #4 WRT 不太会有 vs 不会有太. Both are fine, but their implications are different...

不太会有显著的好转 it's not too likely (syntactically the same as "不大会" and "不大可能")

不会有太显著的好转 it won't be too significant

我本來不知道「不太」跟「不大」原來意思差不多。

 

其實我有另一個相關問題：「大」與「多」什麼時候用？

 

例如「他對公司有很大貢獻」是對，還是「他對公司有很多貢獻」是對？

 

再說令一個例子： 應該說「他付出很大的努力」，還是「他付出很多努力」是對？

 

我自己想不出哪一句是對的。

跟英文一樣，你可以用不同的方法表達同一個意思，“很大”說的是程度，“很多”說的是數量，就好像英語中的 great 和 many 一樣，都可以，視乎你想說的是甚麽。並不一定只有一個正確的講法。

還有， 令一個(X)，另一個(O).

還有，usually you are advised to use English on the forums unless you are using the Chinese Corner.

I use Hanyu pinyin input so sometimes I forget to check the characters.
