That's helpful about 喜欢, Duck. Don't know when or why I started misusing that simple verb.

 

You'd be better off talking to real people and learning new expressions in the wild IMO.

I already do that, all day every day, and was thinking of ways to supplement it. My friends (and I) seem to have accepted the fact that I speak second-rate, Gringo Chinese and just let it go at that. Need to up my game a notch. 

 

Will dig into the First Episode thread this weekend and see how that works out. I started class with a new teacher this afternoon, and won't have time until 周末。
