Cannot view emails from Sohu addresses

When I receive a Chinese email from a Sohu.com address, all I see are question marks "?????? ????? ??????? ??????", and so on. At all other times my computer displays characters without a problem.

Any ideas? I've tried playing around with the encoding, but it's always the same.
