New Members Jenaxidai Posted December 26, 2013 at 12:50 PM New Members Report Posted December 26, 2013 at 12:50 PM Hello everyone here,I'm Jena Xidai from Yunnan, China.I'm a resident of the largest Ecovillage project in China—the Second Home. The Second Home is mainly an ecovillage with spiritual pursuit and values, the core values are to revere the Greatest Creator, nature and LIFE, follow the path of the Greatest Creator and the way of nature. We're creating and living a brand new life mode with no marriage and traditional family, with no private ownership, people live together in a big harmonious family, all resources belong to the community. Presently we have 3 branches scattered in Yunnan. The one you'll visit is in the rural area of Lincangâ the 4th branch, which is around 70 people with 14 children and the elders live here. This is a big harmonious family surrounded by beautiful natural environment completely designed and built by ourselves. Currently our community has three branches scattering in Anning, Chuxiong and Lincang of Yunnan Province, and whole area is around 145 acres. And total permanent residents are 150 including 14 children across branches. These days our Ecovillage is being forced to close by Local Government in China. One hundred and fifty permanent residents are being forced to leave our communities because members of the local Government wish to take back the land and dismiss all the communties in Yunnan Province. One hundred and fifty permanent residents are affected, the majority of whom are women up to eighty-six years of age. Our communities have existed peacefully with surrounding residents for over four years and received Government co-operation and encouragement over this time. They are now been given one week to vacate their homes and the land they have tended with no reason given by local Government officials.Land owners are being pressured by local officials and government officers to end the leases early. Attacks on our communities over the last month have varied from damage to property to physical assaults on community members and are rumoured to have been financed by local Government officials. There has been no assistance given to residents to relocate nor any form of compensation for costs incurred by the communities offered. You can check the whole event from this link:http://lifechanyuan....47&extra=page=1Now we need to find the western media people in China, do you know someone who can help us? May God bless us.These are two videos of our community:Video 1: Made in Aug 2012 Video 2: Made in April 2013 See more photos of our community from: Contrastive Photos -- Before and After the Building of All 3 Branches in the Second Home The Largest Ecovillage in China Suffers A Heavy Blow! —A community with 150 members is on the verge of disappearing.
