sophyphreak Posted January 1, 2014 at 11:06 AM Report Posted January 1, 2014 at 11:06 AM I am currently in a language school but want to begin language learning at a university. My language school says that it would be illegal for them to support the visa while not being a student at their school. I believe them. I understand that there is some type of transfer of visa letter that the language school needs to send to the university, but the language school doesn't know anything about this. What can I tell them? Quote
roddy Posted January 2, 2014 at 02:20 PM Report Posted January 2, 2014 at 02:20 PM There's a sample of the equivalent for an employer here. Basically it should identify you by name and passport number and that the school agrees with you going elsewhere to study. Let us know how you get on. Which school are you at? Quote

Davidfromsweden Posted January 2, 2014 at 08:02 PM Report Posted January 2, 2014 at 08:02 PM This topic makes my a little bit worried of my own situation. I got an invitation letter from a private language school in Xiamen (paid 300 RMB in advance), they said the could only help me get a F-visa instead of a X-visa but that did'nt matter for me. I got my visa approved in the consulat in Sweden gave me a X2-visa for 180 days. But things have changed and i won't move to Xiamen instead im going to Beijing. Is this gonna cause a problem? Quote
sophyphreak Posted January 2, 2014 at 08:06 PM Author Report Posted January 2, 2014 at 08:06 PM @Davidfromsweden I would recommend opening a new topic thread. Quote
Davidfromsweden Posted January 2, 2014 at 08:27 PM Report Posted January 2, 2014 at 08:27 PM @sophypreak why would i do that when i have kind of the same questions? It's just stupid open up new threads for every simple question you have when there are threads on the same topic already. 1 Quote
roddy Posted January 3, 2014 at 10:46 AM Report Posted January 3, 2014 at 10:46 AM I wouldn't assume you can just get that letter and then everything will be smooth. Speak to the university you're going to and see what they say... Quote
Davidfromsweden Posted January 3, 2014 at 11:36 AM Report Posted January 3, 2014 at 11:36 AM It's not an university, just a small private language school. The invitation letter says "XX should obtain an F-Visa from his local Chinese consulate and will be responsible for all costs of travel once in China" but instead of a F-visa i got an X2-visa. But somehow it makes sence that i should'nt just go and chance schools if i got the invitation letter from one school and then ends up at another school. I mailed the consulat i guess they have the best answer. Quote
roddy Posted January 3, 2014 at 11:41 AM Report Posted January 3, 2014 at 11:41 AM I was talking to Sophy. You've already asked your question twice in other people's topics AND sent it to me by pm, so I'm kind of ignoring you. Quote
Davidfromsweden Posted January 3, 2014 at 12:03 PM Report Posted January 3, 2014 at 12:03 PM @roddy thanks for nothing! I hope you have a great new year Quote
roddy Posted January 3, 2014 at 12:19 PM Report Posted January 3, 2014 at 12:19 PM Try sticking a new topic up, with a specific title. But the X2 visas are new, and there's no guarantee anyone knows... Quote
roddy Posted February 7, 2014 at 11:18 AM Report Posted February 7, 2014 at 11:18 AM Sophy, how is your transfer going? Quote
sophyphreak Posted February 10, 2014 at 10:03 AM Author Report Posted February 10, 2014 at 10:03 AM I got it. The transfer office said that they're happy they know, but we don't have to do anything beyond let them know until my visa needs renewing near the end of the current visa. 1 Quote
