Need someone to type some Chinese names and addresses

Hi there, I have a hand-written name -- in Chinese characters -- and a Chinese address that I want someone to transfer to TYPE on the computer so I can cut and paste for clear use, like mailing a letter or for documentation purposes.  It is only one name and one address, so it will take you only two minutes, I think.  I am a Westerner, and so don't know how to type Chinese characters on the computer...  If you want to do help me, just email: daveantoniuk@gmail.com, and I will send you the scan images of the hand-writing I want translated...  I hope to return the favor, somehow...  Thanks...

HI again, since nobody has responded to my request, I have uploaded the name and the address,  scanned into PDF files... ( If nobody replies after a few days, I will ask the moderator to please delete this post next week... )

I hope somebody can please simply TYPE the Chinese characters for me in an online post, or better -- email me directly....  daveantoniuk@gmail.com    If you can transliterate to English, too, that would be nice...

Thanks..........

Hi David,

I did see this when you first posted. I didn't volunteer to translate it because I suspected that it was hand written. Chinese hand writing is 'not easy'. My Chinese level is not that high.

Note that I may be wrong in some of or indeed all of this, but here is my attempt.

李心靈

高雄市 三民区 鼎中路

X 29号 B-2

郑 X 雲

There are 2 characters I can't decipher which I have replaced with 'X's.

I think the name is 李心靈 li3xin1ling2 or Mr XinLing Li.

The first line of the address:-

高雄市 Gao1Xiong2Shi4 of Kaohsiung city in Taiwan

三民区 San1Min2Qu1 sounds like a district or neighbourhood.

鼎中路 Deng3Zhong1Lu4 or DengZhong Road. I wasn't sure of this, but I googled it and there is indeed a dengzhonglu in GaoXiongShi.

29号 means 'number 29'

郑 X 雲 I am not sure of this line at all, a business name perhaps?

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

edit. The formating was all lost. so this looks a mess.

I thank you very much....  This was the family address of my old flame, Ms. 李心靈...  Hsing-ling Li... (not a man's name!)  She once told me that Hsing-ling meant, in Chinese "spiritual wisdom" -- is that true?

Anyway, I wanted to send her some old photos that I am digitizing, etc...   Thanks for your help...  I guess the X in front of the 29 is just the street or road number on DengZhong Road, thanks...  I guess that will do it!  Have a nice day....

The first X is 7. The whole street number is 729.

The second X is 如. So that make it 郑如雲, which is a name.

That means besides the name 李心靈, there is another name 郑如雲 below the address.

That is a Taiwan address. If it was obtained a long time ago, you might wish to take account of the fact that things change - people move, houses get pull down, addresses disappear, etc.

If you intend to print these out, it's probably best to use traditional characters, which they use in Taiwan. As you can see, there are certain characters that people in Taiwan write in simplified form (indeed, many of these simplified forms are the source of the mainland's simplified character system). In Taiwan, these forms are a subset of the ones used in China, and mostly restricted to handwriting, and are rarely used in print. The characters in question here are 区/區, 号/號 and 郑/鄭. Note how 雲 wasn't written in its simplified variant 云.

Her name: 李心靈

Li Hsin-Ling

The address:

高雄市三民區鼎中路729號B-2
鄭如雲

B-2, No. 729, Dingzhong Rd., Sanmin Dist., Kaohsiung

c/o Cheng Ju-Yun

(Names in Wade-Giles as the plurality of Taiwanese born before 2000 are spelled; address (except Kaohsiung) in Pinyin, as per current government guidelines)

I suppose 鄭如雲 is the person the letter is to be sent "care of".

You can plug that address into Google, and you get a Streetview of a quite modern-looking apartment complex.

(By the way, 心靈 means soul or spirit)
