xh207hi Posted January 6, 2014 at 06:31 AM Report Posted January 6, 2014 at 06:31 AM First of all, excuse me if I posted in the wrong section. Recently I bought an item through Taobao, but I have to return it. There is no problem with the item itself, I just realized I don't need it anymore. I am not a proficient Chinese reader and as long as I can do basic operations on Taobao, like purchases, paying and stuff, I have no idea how am I supposed to return the item. I guess you have to click something somewhere on the site, but I'm getting lost: shall I first contact the seller through this chat thing? Or click something and then contact? I guess I should do something on the site to guarantee that the seller will return my money. I would be thankful for help from some experienced Taobao buyer. Quote
xuefang Posted January 8, 2014 at 07:26 AM Report Posted January 8, 2014 at 07:26 AM I would first contact the seller with the chat and see if returning is possible. I'm not sure if it's possible to return something just because you changed your mind and don't want it anymore. But of course you can always ask. Quote
xh207hi Posted January 8, 2014 at 08:20 PM Author Report Posted January 8, 2014 at 08:20 PM Well, a friend of mine has just enlightened me that returning is indeed possible for a few days (three or so) until you confirm the payment (which you do along with confirming receiving an item). Since I'm not used to the option of delayed payment, I confirmed receiving the order, which means it's rather impossible for me to return it, or at least, I won't get the guarantee of receiving my money back. I guess I will have to keep it and find a possibility of selling it... Anyway, thank you. Quote
