Demonic_Duck Posted January 11, 2014 at 03:09 PM Report Posted January 11, 2014 at 03:09 PM 灰女康康林寿, at a stretch? It's meaningless, though. Perhaps a variation on the gibberish font: http://scripts.mit.edu/~zong/wpress/?p=62 I'm guessing it's supposed to be a name with the letters ?AMM?? Quote
New Members Kathy2012 Posted January 11, 2014 at 03:27 PM Author New Members Report Posted January 11, 2014 at 03:27 PM Think it's meant to be Tammy, but not sure what else. Thanks Quote
Lu Posted January 11, 2014 at 03:42 PM Report Posted January 11, 2014 at 03:42 PM Yup, gibberish font, probably intended to say Sammy. This has not been done from a Chinese dictionary, most likely from an example sheet in a tattoo parlour with none of the people present knowing any Chinese. This is, unfortunately, not Chinese; it doesn't say Sammy; and the calligraphy is also ugly. Perhaps consider getting it covered up with a nicer tattoo. Or just wait ten years and it might get blotched beyond recognition as happened to the lady in the other post. Quote

Lu Posted January 11, 2014 at 04:08 PM Report Posted January 11, 2014 at 04:08 PM The grey woman is healthy; the healthy forest lives long. Wow. That actually kind of makes sense as a translation. I just wonder how you arrived at 'grey' for that character? Quote
New Members Kathy2012 Posted January 11, 2014 at 04:38 PM Author New Members Report Posted January 11, 2014 at 04:38 PM I like this translation much more philosophical , not sure that was the intention though , thank you Quote
Geiko Posted January 11, 2014 at 06:28 PM Report Posted January 11, 2014 at 06:28 PM I think lingo-ling translated Demonic_duck's guess of the first character as 灰. Quote
