Ruben von Zwack Posted January 16, 2014 at 06:11 PM Report Share Posted January 16, 2014 at 06:11 PM Hello All, I attempted to subscribe to a few Chinese podcasts on my Android, namely QQSRX and 坏蛋, but it appears I am too daft to: a) install a podcast player - so I installed Player FM from the google store, but I must be doing something wrong because it's slow and complicated, and this should be easy, right? b) subscribe to the podcast I want, or if I find the podcast and subscribe, it tells me it will only stream from the internet, and if I click on "nevermind, play it anyway" it says it's unable to play it c) delete the dang useless player from my mobile again edit: I managed to do that at least I don't expect you to type long instructions, but if any of you could point me to a tutorial or something for beginners, please let me know! Oh and while I'm at it, how do you type Chinese characters on your Androids?
johnk Posted January 16, 2014 at 09:02 PM Report Share Posted January 16, 2014 at 09:02 PM I don't know about podcasts, but ... My old HTC phone had pinyin input out of the box. My new Phone didn't so I installed 'Google Pinin Input' from the play store. It has pinyin and handwriting input options and it works very well.
Ruben von Zwack Posted January 16, 2014 at 09:24 PM Author Report Share Posted January 16, 2014 at 09:24 PM Thanks! Will do the same. Typing proper Chinese should already help me in finding my podcasts And it enabled me already to install 优听 ( a curated podcast player as recommended by gato) from the google store.
