Image included. I've always wanted to get a Chinese character tattoo, I really like the way this one looks, especially the writing style.

 

Can someone tell me what it means? Also, can it be written from left-to-right?

No expert but the writing looks like 行书 (wikipedia calls it Semi-cursive script). I agree that it looks nice.

You can write it also left-to-right, sure.
