beqstar Posted April 8, 2005 at 12:28 PM Report Posted April 8, 2005 at 12:28 PM Does anyone know the average price to pay for a bottle of Absolut or Stolis? I was told I could get a decent bottle of vodka for 80RMB, but i went to a grocery store and it was over 150. Further, i doubt that many places sell 'cheap' bottles of vodka because china probably only imports the better brands...i could be wrong. Quote
liuzhou Posted April 8, 2005 at 01:51 PM Report Posted April 8, 2005 at 01:51 PM Funnily enough, I bought a bottle of Stoli today. ¥90. Absolut was around the same price, maybe a shade more. But then I'm a regular and do speak Chinese. Did you bargain with them? Quote
beqstar Posted April 9, 2005 at 01:28 AM Author Report Posted April 9, 2005 at 01:28 AM Ha...well i guess i asked the right question at the right time...i have only been in china for two months, and in trying not to butcher such a beautiful language, i don't really VERBALLY bargain (unless i'm with chinese friends who get my back)...AND, i have only looked in the major supermarkets...you give me a good idea...i could start looking in the little street shops, too... is that where you bought your bottle? 90 isn't bad...
