Demonic_Duck Posted May 7, 2014 at 10:29 AM Report Posted May 7, 2014 at 10:29 AM As for reading out loud, this very aspect has been researched with no real conclusive empirical evidence. However, here is what the experts recommend... Who are these "experts", and why are they giving recommendations with a lack of conclusive evidence? Quote
roddy Posted May 8, 2014 at 07:27 AM Report Posted May 8, 2014 at 07:27 AM Hedwards et al, I've split the subvocalisation posts to here, please continue the discussion there. And only there - we don't need reading topics turned into a discussion of subvocalisation, and that's been noticable lately. Quote
hedwards Posted May 28, 2014 at 12:19 AM Report Posted May 28, 2014 at 12:19 AM @Roddy, thanks and you're of course correct. I'm a bit curious as to whether the OP has been making any progress or found any of the suggestions helpful. I've personally been continuing my program of memorization with CTA and I'm definitely making progress towards my goal of reading at least one book this year. Even though it's a levelled reader, I'm still looking forward to being able to say that I read a book in Chinese. Quote
