New Members james61 Posted February 24, 2014 at 08:17 PM New Members Report Share Posted February 24, 2014 at 08:17 PM Do you know what is the most popular written form used for the disease "fibromyalgia" in mainland China? 纤维肌痛 ? or 纤维肌痛症? Which one of the two is more often used? Is these terms commonly used or used solely for scientific writings? Do any other words exist that are popular and used to refer to this specific disease? Is there an other way to refer to it? Thank you very much.
Kamille Posted February 25, 2014 at 06:13 AM Report Share Posted February 25, 2014 at 06:13 AM 纤维肌痛 is a sentence, meaning that your muscles ache. Whereas 纤维肌痛症 is a word (Chinese is a funny language in which you can turn a sentence into a word by adding a character to it ), it's the name of the disease, i.e. fibromyalgia.
