brickholz Posted February 27, 2014 at 12:10 AM Report Posted February 27, 2014 at 12:10 AM Hey guys I'm trying to slap together some flashcards, so I can remember the Chinese words for my exercise routine. I'm having trouble finding the relevant vocabulary, though! Nciku and Wenlin are both no great help. I'm wondering if you guys know any better? I'm looking for the words for... Squat Pull-ups Crow (the Yoga position) (The hardest one) L-Sit Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Very appreciated! Quote
Olle Linge Posted February 27, 2014 at 12:25 AM Report Posted February 27, 2014 at 12:25 AM There was a thread on Reddit discussing this and you can find about twenty terms in the list produced there. There's even more here (warning for lots of ads and stuff). I practise gymnastics here in Taiwan, so I'll supply the one which isn't part of most people's weight lifting/gym routines: L-sit = L支撐. There's probably a more formal word, but this is the one everyone I know uses. 4 Quote
