杰声 Posted April 17, 2005 at 09:43 PM Report Posted April 17, 2005 at 09:43 PM I've been trying to find an apartment for me and some uni mates in beijing over the summer. The problem is most fo the apartments I've found are either up for a 3 month minimum rent (and I only need to rent for two) or they are geared towards tourists and charge in American dollars (and cost 2 or 3x as much). I was jsut wondering if anyone could suggest a good place for finding a cheap apartment, i've tried a few websites like expatriates.com and bbs.chinadaily.com.cn but not having much luck so far ^_^ Quote
roddy Posted April 17, 2005 at 11:11 PM Report Posted April 17, 2005 at 11:11 PM You can try the classifieds on That's Beijing, City Weekend and AsiaExpat.com but if you are only renting for two months you are likely to wind up paying over the odds. You might get lucky and find a student flat empty over the summer though. Roddy Quote

Angelskates Posted April 19, 2005 at 01:24 AM Report Posted April 19, 2005 at 01:24 AM Place and ad on That's Beijing. Those I know who have short term rented have always paid the whole two months (plus 500RMB in case they destroy the place) and have had no trouble. The big unis also offer short term dorms rooms so you can also try them. Good luck. Quote
