Tattoo translation Help!

Hey guys i got this tattoo (see attachment) last week but when i showed it to my friend (who speaks chinese) he told me I got the wrong symbol for "time" as what I got is actually not suitable for a tattoo. I wanna know if is it that wrong?What symbols would've been more suitable?Any way to fix it (adding a symbol for instance)?

What aspect/meaning were you hoping to express with 'time'?  E.g. Time can have different meanings in different contexts, the tattoo you got says 時間, which does mean time, as the general concept of time.

 

What you got is no more or less suitable than any other random word, it's difficult to tell if it's appropriate or if you got the right translation without knowing what you were trying to express.

Ok now I understand...i didn't wanna express a particular meaning so the general concept will do. I guess the word time alone sounds a bit odd in english as well now that I think about it. Anyway thank you so much at least I know now!!!
