Hi all,

I've been talking to a native Chinese who graduated from BLCU with an English Major. This person suggested that when going go BLCU that the best route would be to get an apartment close to BLCU and possibly share it with a native Chinese. The problem that was rasied was that if I went this route then BLCU would not be my Guarantor and thus be a problem for getting a student visa.

Does anyone know the in's and out's of this? If you don't want to stay on campus will there be a problem with the student visa?

In a related question, how are the dorms at BLCU? I am interested in bringing my laptop and was concerned about security. I surely don't want to be carrying it around with me all the time. Also, my camera, same issue.

Also, what about internet access?

Thanks,
