studychinese Posted May 8, 2014 at 12:16 PM Report Share Posted May 8, 2014 at 12:16 PM I am looking for manga written by Japanese authors, but translated into SIMPLIFIED Chinese. I have previously purchased GTO but the Chinese version uses traditional characters. Normally traditional characters are not a problem for me except for the fact that the writing is so small and characters with many strokes just look like a single blob of ink to me. I can't make it out at all. Does anyone know if manga with simplified characters even exist? I have looked around but have not found any so I am inclined to believe that it does not exist. Pingfa Posted May 10, 2014 at 06:24 AM Report Share Posted May 10, 2014 at 06:24 AM While Japanese manga on Chinese sites are usually 繁体, the majority of popular western comics seem to usually be in 简体。 The Walking Dead comic is available online in simplified if that interests you: http://www.1kkk.com/manhua7070/

tysond Posted May 10, 2014 at 10:19 AM Report Share Posted May 10, 2014 at 10:19 AM Keep searching -- if you search for long enough you can find a lot of simplified on various sites. One Piece is available, I have found the simplified versions for apps on my Windows Phone and iPad, they are just pulling it down from some website somewhere. studychinese Posted June 17, 2014 at 01:26 PM Author Report Share Posted June 17, 2014 at 01:26 PM Studychinese, what did you end up reading? Nothing yet, Roddy. I am trying to work out how to download these comics and read them offline on my Nexus 7 tablet. As far as I can see there is no way to DL.
