Although I am glad, I think I have mentioned it to you guys earlier that I have a few personal reasons why I might actually not be able to accept this. We shall see... Just to let everyone know that I have applied through my embassy and that my embassy have not informed me of anything as of today. goddess_hina - If your school offers the program you applied for this year but they have enrolled you for a different programme p'ease check with them to see if: 1.) The information is correct. Perhaps they have made a mistake? 2.) If they are offering the course you applied for but have enrolled you in a different course, you are normally not allowed to change your course. Especially if this was not a mistake. 3.) If you want them to change the course they have enrolled you into, you have to get your Chinese embassy to make a special request, and you have to support it with valid reasons. If your embassy can agree to help you, only then will you be allowed to change your course.

I asked her if it mattered if I applied directly to the school or the embassy and she said it did not matter. I hope that she is wrong. She sounded like a student. P.S.A Peking university professor wrote a recommendation letter for me and I have a pre-admission letter.

'Unofficially' informed by the university's head of IO, who liaised directly with CSC about my application. 15) When were you accepted/rejected? July 2nd (unofficially because I was informed by my uni, not the embassy where I applied). 16) What school and program were you accepted to? MM TCM (Chinese medium) at SHTCM, first choice and only choice uni. 1
Guest scooby Posted July 2, 2014 at 07:03 AM Report Posted July 2, 2014 at 07:03 AM @Tianlongprc It is quite possible that student offices of particular universities give jobs to students who know many languages, at least that is the case in Europe, and I expect that in China too because when I tried to apply for one of the universities, the content of e-mails was quite casual, less formal and included even emoticons like and others. @shuoshuo true, lucky others, however as for me it's not the case, I haven't heard anything from the embassy nor any of schools I applied to.

Dipen Posted July 2, 2014 at 11:01 AM Report Posted July 2, 2014 at 11:01 AM @ Pavidevi congrat .....for getting csc scholarship from zhejiang univ...i am still waiting for the winner list because i applied through embassy but i haven't get any email regarding scholarship like you.If the csc scholarship is already confirmed i don't know why don't they publish the result in the website till now.since they have emailed to you....you can ask them by email when they will announce the result in website.if possible plz try to ask them in the same email address and let us know when it will happen....Thank you..

Dongbei university of finance and economics did selected me and recommended me for csc but later on they replied me that due to limited seats we cannot have you this year...... i think i have applied in around 15 universities,,,,,, but still no response,,,, what should i do now:(

ladyferoz Posted July 2, 2014 at 11:51 PM Report Posted July 2, 2014 at 11:51 PM Hello It is my first time applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship this year and I will admit that I have been lurking here for a few weeks and was really disappointed not to find any south africans. I applied through our department of education, and went to an interview around March. After that they told me (and 5 other applicants) to wait for the results. I have received two calls from them since then, the first one was for extra passport sized copies of our photos and the second time for our original medical. documents (I was hesitant about handing them over because of potential visa applications but they insisted) for now it will be a while, and I honestly have no idea what my results are in end. I applied for a BA in Applied Psychology and my first choice was BNU. The others were East China Normal and South China Normal , I will post again if I hear anything. Btw, it is 2 a.m. and I cannot sleep. I am so anxious about the results. Good luck and congrats to others xx
