New Members LouisD Posted May 21, 2014 at 06:58 AM New Members Report Posted May 21, 2014 at 06:58 AM Hi everyone, I am doing a Chinese assessment tomorrow and I'm supposed to have notes for the meanings of everything here, so I can write an essay, however I have fallen behind in class. If anyone could translate this in to English or even just transcribe it in to characters that would be amazing. Thank you so much, Louis, Sydney PS: It is about 2 different people, I have translated the written part, but I have a lot of trouble with listening. Each different file is a different person, so if you could seperate the translations that would be great. PPS: One file was too much to upload so I will post another forum post with that in it, or if possible try to attach it in the comments. Year.mp3 Quote

New Members LouisD Posted May 21, 2014 at 09:54 PM Author New Members Report Posted May 21, 2014 at 09:54 PM Part 1 attempt : Hello, I am english. I am 12 years old. I have a younger and older brother. My father and mother both work. My mother is an English teacher. I live in China? I like ..... Everyday - Breakfast. Everyday I leave school at ... and from this point on I couldn't understand anything. As is quite obvious by my terrible translation, I need a lot of help. Part 2 Attempt: ............... Something about nose, and jeans. I am really struggling with this, so a translation that corrects what I have said and fills in the gaps would be amazing. Quote
Bad Cao Cao Posted May 21, 2014 at 11:47 PM Report Posted May 21, 2014 at 11:47 PM much better to take an F - then - download 3-400 elementary (mandarin only) dialogues from popup and cpod, and spend a few weeks listening and reading to them intensively. Any other advice would probably be wasting your time. Quote
grawrt Posted May 22, 2014 at 12:35 AM Report Posted May 22, 2014 at 12:35 AM Part 1 attempt : Hello, I am english. I am 12 years old. I have a younger and older brother. As is quite obvious by my terrible translation, I need a lot of help. 张天心2013,4月6日a few corrections: She has an older sister (姐姐) and an older brother (哥哥). You can tell they're both older because they're both 大学生.She studies Chinese at school, and has been studying it for five years. This doesn't mean that she lives in China. She has a lot of hobbies, she likes playing ball, listening to music, watching movies, etc.She wakes up every day at 7 and eats breakfast after.Just a note: I normally feel really uncomfortable doing other peoples homework, but I understand that sometimes people fall behind in class. Try not to let it happen again, and good luck on your assessment.P。S Taking an F is horrible advice. I would never recommend anyone do this. In theory it makes sense because you're not really at this level but academic wise uhmm not so much. Especially if you're in university right now. Part 2: (not sure how her name is in characters) 长得漂亮。她的脸是长的。她有大眼睛,高鼻子,小嘴巴。她的头发不长不短。她喜欢穿连衣裙和牛仔裤。 Quote

Lu Posted May 22, 2014 at 05:25 PM Report Posted May 22, 2014 at 05:25 PM LiJiafeng, thanks for helping out! Are you a native speaker by any chance? I agree with your corrections, sounds like 校车 and 八节课. Bad Cao Cao, perhaps consider giving some constructive advice instead of just telling people they're doing it wrong? Quote
