Guest mirela_violeta Posted June 3, 2003 at 03:33 PM Report Posted June 3, 2003 at 03:33 PM Having somewhat improved my other problems I stumbled across this other problem: I have no ideea when to pause when I read. Not all the time but my chinese teacher told me that even though I read perfectly well I didn't know where to pause. The truth is that if you don't pause at the right time it can make the understanding of the text more difficult and those who hear may not understand much either. Does anyone have a suggestion. It may not seem such a big deal but in reality it's an important aspect. I wonder if you can learn that by speaking chinese onnthe street a lot. I hope that will help me when I'll go to China. Quote
roddy Posted June 4, 2003 at 01:35 AM Report Posted June 4, 2003 at 01:35 AM How often are you going to read aloud? If you are pausing in the right place when you are speaking, don't worry about it. Roddy Quote
