Novels that use very modern vocabulary?

So I'd love to read more books in Chinese, especially novels that teach me more about modern China, but I'm worried about reading a book where X percent of its vocabulary isn't used anymore. I plan on reviewing vocab I'm not familiar with, so I just want to be sure I'm making a good use of my time. Can anyone recommend any kind of fiction that has been written in this decade, or at least has mostly modern vocabulary?

圈子圈套 is a modern novel which has been discussed on the forum and read by several people.

I guess you could pick virtually any book that is set in modern China, but still, you may be confronted with 'irrelevant' subject specific vocabulary.

I recommend 蜗居, which was published in 2007. This happens to be the book I'm currently reading.

 

I think it would be a good choice. It is not too difficult, and it portrays the current urban Chinese milieu (such as housing bubbles, mistresses, official corruption) as well as people's mentality. It also has an audiobook version and a TV adaption.
