This is a stupid question, but how do you use "before" in the following sentences?

I saw him before at the store. Wo kan ta yiqian zai chaoshi.??

I was walking around before I saw him at the store.

Before I leave, I must read this book. Yiqian wo likai, wo yiding zhege shu.??

I'm not a native chinese speaker, but these are my versions:

I saw him before at the store.

I was walking around before I saw him at the store.

Before I leave, I must read this book.

Although I'm not native either, but I would suggest something like this:

I saw him before at the store.

I was walking around before I saw him at the store.

Before I leave, I must read this book.
