tiantian Posted June 19, 2014 at 02:29 PM Report Posted June 19, 2014 at 02:29 PM Have you guys tried this website? I think its great, I wonder why nobody mentioned it here before. This websites shows example sentences containing the words you already know. I think it can be an effective way of learning new words and characters. You can feed the website with a list of words you know and then look at example sentences. Every word you know will be marked green in the sentence. By clicking on one word you can mark it red and it will show you the word in different sentences, Its kind of what I have always been looking for. Of course there is still room for improvement and their blog has not been updated in a while, but I would really want to see this developed further! You can register for free and play around with it. I think its great! http://www.nulinu.li/ Regards, tiantian 1 Quote

tiantian Posted July 3, 2014 at 02:36 PM Author Report Posted July 3, 2014 at 02:36 PM I still think its a great resource with lots of potential. Not only does it show you example sentences with the words you know, it also tries to find sentences containing ONLY words you already know. It is really great for learning vocabulary using example sentences, without stumbling on sentences containing unknown words and characters. Many people have asked for example sentences here before, because they want to do context-based learning. This might be a great site if you just want to review your known words in different context. Things I hope to be improved: More sentences! I mean, the bigger the corpus, the better. The sentences nuli nuli uses at the moment seem to come from Tatoeba, so some of them might be a bit strange. If they could include sentences from sites like Juukuu, dict.cn etc. it would be perfect. Quote
