Confused westener with a chinese tattoo

Hi there, I'm hoping you can see this it seems to come up small, could anyone help translate this tattoo..be brutally honest ;)

太阳 sun

乔 tall, but most of the time when you see this it's a transliteration of something. 乔治 is George, for example.

月亮 moon

The combination is meaningless, but it doesn't mean anything bad either. The characters are written correctly and the calligraphy is nice enough, although you have simplified characters while in my opinion traditional would have looked nicer. So yeah, the tattoo of a confused westerner, but otherwise completely harmless :-) What was it supposed to say?

So this is my friends tattoo he got whilst on a night out on holiday which explains the well though out sun/moon idea ;) he did think it said sun and moon so where the tall part comes in is odd unless as you say it was meant to be part of another word and that other bit is missing..who knows.

 

Chinese people must wonder why all these foreigners keep getting meaningless and sometimes terrible Chinese phrases inked on themselves
