00.所有常用汉字大全拼音 All of characters that in common use with Pinyin. Please read it and try to recite it as possible as you can before you read other books. If you think you're good enough to understand these books, you can ignore it.

01., 02. and 03. are the books of grade one.

04.注音版 Nine masterworks with Pinyin: 百家姓, 大学, 金刚经, 论语, 普门品, 千字文, 三十六计, 滕王阁序 and 幼学琼林.

05., 06., 07. and 08. are the books of grade two.

09.名著少儿版 Three masterworks without Pinyin, but are suited to children/beginner: 红楼梦, 三国演义 and 西游记. Sorry that I hadn't get 水浒传 like these.

10., 11., 12. and 13. are the books of grade three.

14.童话 Two fairy tales that suited to children/beginner: 小布头奇遇记 and 小布头新奇遇记.

15. and 16. are the books of grade four.

17.成人童话 If you're not interested in those fairy tales above-mentioned, six fairy tales for adults of "King of Fairy Tales in China" Yuanjie Zheng would be useful.

18. and 19. are the books of grade five.

20.outline for review 1 If you feel a bit hard after finish 18. and 19., try again with the help of it.

21. and 22. are the books of grade six.

23.outline for review 2 After finish all books of primary school, please revise the poems that you learned in the books.

24.动物小说 Before you begin on books of middle school, choose one of 150 animal novels.

Then, middle school:

25. and 26. are the books of grade seven.

27.骆驼祥子 is a book of Lao She and a book that students of middle school have to read.

28. and 29. are the books of grade eight.

30.四大名著 are the original version of Four Masterworks of China: 红楼梦, 三国演义, 水浒传 and 西游记.

31. and 32. are the books of grade nine.

33.古典小说 are 24 classical fictions, that'll be difficult but try best to read it. Your Chinese'll be better than most of Chinese if you finish these books.

Much of the material, at least the items labeled "the books of grade (1-9)", is from People's Education Press Yuwen (but it is free). @querido yeah, it's from People's Education Press Yuwen, as far as I know most textbook in China is from there, uh, at least in my area. About the coordinated storybooks, maybe I can get these, sure, free, and about writing practice books, I'm not sure I can get this series, but I get something which have same ways. It's kind of hard to get Flash videos, but I will try, if can't, maybe some teaching videos or lantern slides can replace it?

ZoxGuo, when I searched for free courseware for P.E.P. Yuwen a few years ago I found a lot of things in many places but nothing close to *complete*, but free and complete courseware probably exists somewhere in China! :-)

 

When I posted about P.E.P Yuwen in the past I think very few people were interested, but they should know that it advances very quickly and is already interesting by the third or fourth grade!

StudyChineseCulture.com ships worldwide and can get in most Chinese books for you even if they don't have them in stock at a particular point in time.

 

You could try sending them an email asking if there is a particular book you see above that you would like but that doesn't appear in their online catalogue.
