Hello there,

I always see ROC (Taiwan), does that mean with multiple entry visa, I can travel to China itself and other regions before my visa expires?

If yes, like where and where is this valid for entry? Thank you.

Hi,

do you mean, you already have a visa for Taiwan (ROC)?

Mainland China (PRC) requires a different visa. Mainland China has a different embassy.

Taiwan visa is only for Taiwan.

ROC (Taiwan) and PRC (Mainland China) are two different governments, if not two different countries altogether (though that's for another thread). You need a different visa for each.

And, depending on your nationality, it is quite likely that you can go to Hong Kong Visa-free.

A multiple entry visa means you can enter the country that you have a visa for more than once. So you can return to Taiwan (ROC) after leaving it. But as others already said, if you want to travel to China (PRC) you need a different visa.

As far as I know, if you're not a ROC or PRC national, you must obtain separate visas for each.

The ROC visa is only valid in Taiwan proper, as well as the outerlying islands of Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu.

The PRC visa is valid in Mainland China, but may not be in Hong Kong or Macau.

Depending on your visa status (Single-Entry or Multiple-Entry), you may or may not be able to re-enter either country once you've gone out and would have to re-apply.
