New Members Tessa Posted July 31, 2014 at 02:01 PM New Members Report Share Posted July 31, 2014 at 02:01 PM I've got problems with this sentence: 而莫洛佐夫则后悔莫及,他给沃洛索扎牵线特兰科夫作为新搭档,让她在换了搭档的同时,也把自己给换了。 莫洛佐夫 , 沃洛索扎 and 特兰科夫 are surnames (Morozov, Volosozhar, Trankov, if you watch figure skating). I just don't see sense in this sentence. Please, could you help me?
MPhillips Posted July 31, 2014 at 06:28 PM Report Share Posted July 31, 2014 at 06:28 PM The sentence made sense after I found out a little background about the protagonists. "It was too late for regrets when Morozov realized that by setting up Volosozhar with Trankov as her new partner he had her not only switch skating partners, but her partner off the ice (Morozov) as well."
