New Members BertO Posted August 3, 2014 at 09:22 AM New Members Report Posted August 3, 2014 at 09:22 AM I have received a scholarship to study in China for one semester. I would like to do a part-time internship in that period as well (unpaid is fine), but I'm not yet in contact with any specific company. As far as I understand, this can be done with a student visa, a residence permit and permission from the PSB. For one semester, you usually apply for an X2 visa, for studies up to 180 days. With this visa you don't have to apply for a residence permit. I am wondering, is it possible to apply for a residence permit anyway, and then to do an internship legally? Alternatively, I have received a JW202 form which states "学习期限:自2014年09月至2015年03月". Does this mean I can apply for a stay of 210 days, and receive an X1 visa? I've already booked my plane ticket, for a period just below 180 days. Please tell me your experiences... Quote
