Avoiding Redundancy in Spoken and Written Chinese

A lot of the problems I see in my HSK students' writing is in redundancy. Much of this comes from the education people receive. HSK speaking and writing books tend to overload students with "idioms" that are actually redundant.

 

We've put together a list of redundant phrases that are common in speaking and writing in a convenient chart:
