Can anyone tell me what my tattoo says?

Hi I have a tattoo that I think is chinese of my sons name which is Lewis. However I'm not sure that is what it says at all. It was picked from a tattoo parlour folder which had most English names supposedly translated. I was young at the time and should have been more careful. Can anyone help with the translation please?

It kind of sounds like 'Lewis' and the meanings of the characters used are all positive. As Imron mentioned, you can't really 'translate' English names into Chinese, but this is a fine transliteration. The calligraphy looks pretty decent as well. All in all, 'name translation' tattoos are not a good idea, but you already have this one and as these things go this is not a bad one to have.

I don't think they're a bad idea. They can turn out bad. Or can turn out fine.
