受罪 is "to suffer"(lit. "to receive pain"), so 没必要花钱买罪受 literally means "no need to spend money to buy pain to endure". Although I guess the everyday meaning is a lot less dire! I just learned something, thanks fanglu!

It's not by any chance 吃多少 “买” 多少…… is it? That would seem to make more sense, thus you'd get something like "buy however much you're going to eat" instead of "sell however much you're going to eat".

罪 can mean both "crime, guilt, sin" & "suffering, pain". In ”他因罪受处死刑.” 罪 belongs to the previous word 因 ，not the following word 受。 Thus ”他， 因罪，受处死刑.” or "he was executed for his crime(s)" lit. "he, because of his crime(s), suffered the imposition of the death penalty".

罪受 is not a word.

 

受 is what happens after the act of 买, because what you are buying is 罪.

 

For example you could:

 

买饭吃  (吃 is what you do with the 饭 that you bought)

买饮料喝 (喝 is what you do with the 饮料 that you bought).

买罪受  (受 is what you do with the 罪 that you bought).

Another reason to avoid Chinese is that it can prevent you from cementing mistakes you don't know you're making, e.g. 空间 instead of 空格, '让'这个建议 and so on.

 

For practising writing Chinese, you might consider websites such as lang-8.

Only when they are pointed out and corrected, and that hasn't been happening with the majority of your Chinese posts.

 

Even when someone points something out, they may not point out all the things (e.g. in the post above the two mistakes I pointed out weren't the only problems in that post).  Lang-8 will be much better in terms of getting feedback on Chinese writing because it's built around native speakers helping each other with corrections and feedback.

Just remember that not all native speakers are great at writing their own language and even native speakers will have disagreements about the 'correct' or 'best' way to write something.  Also remember to pay attention to regional differences - e.g. vocab used by a native Mandarin speaker in Taiwan will be different from a native Mandarin speaker from the mainland.

My experience is spaced texts make reading Chinese slower for me(stop a lot thinking it means some punctuation), and I would say most natives would think so when reading spaced text the first time. Maybe we are just so used to reading Chinese as it normally is now.

Thanks. Wasn't meant quite so seriously. It is just, for us 外国人 it is sometimes difficult to know what characters belong together. Never mind, I'll get there in the end!
