這個“才”煩我頭腦

Can any of you gents or gentesses explain the function of the "才" after the first comma? (just to be clear: the one that precedes 因.)

只有年輕的時候，我才因為跳舞不能提高收入而不開心，現在反倒愈來愈不在意，開心和意義才重要

才 = only then (when I was young)

“才”是为了加强语气，没有意思。

比如：A: 你要吃我的苹果吗？

        B：我才不要，我自己有苹果。= 我不要，我自己有苹果。

Here 只有 and 才 form a pattern together which means only.

Your sentence then is "only when I was young, I ..."
