Is living in the West better than China?

I think it is difficult to place one country over another as everywhere has it pluses and minuses.

 

As Simon_CH says it makes a lot of difference what your financial situation is.

 

In my case its also a matter of my health situation, I need the NHS, I have a lung condition and would be absolutely lost with out western medicine and free care from the NHS.

 

Each person will have there own reason for being where they are, you could argue this sort of thing all day long but when it comes down to it, it is subjective.
